Oldest house in Boston (Restored).
Only type of Colonial dweiling in the
heart of a great city. Purchased in
1770 by PAUL REVERE, and here he
lived until 1800.
In the upper windows of this house on
the first Anniversary of the BOSTON
MASSACRE were displayed those aw-
ful illustrated pictures which struck
the assembly of spectators "with
solemn silence" while "their coun-
tenances were covered with melan-
choly gloom."
