FORSTER SQUARE. Bradford about 50 years ago
consisted chiefly of narrow streets and buildings of a
rookery kind, which occupied most of the centre of this
now line Square. About here also terminated the Bradford
Canal. The present day scene is more interesting, being
as it is laid out with beautiful flower beds and surrounded
by large buildings, among which is Bradford Parish Church,
which stands out at the far side of the Square.
