Raphael Tuck & Sons' “OILETTE” Postcard 7772.
The King and Queen Rocks are two of the many
isolated masses of rock or stacks which rise out of the sea
off the rocky and precipitous coast of Flamborough Head.
The cliffs of this headland are well-known nesting-places
for gulls and sea-birds, the fowlers securing their eggs by
being lowered by ropes over the cliff face a somewhat
risky method of earning a livelihood.
