Bournemouth Pier. The evergreen beauty of
Bournemouth Bay is admirably seen from the
handsome iron pier, where the Municipal Orchestra
plays all the year round. From the Pier the
great Durley, Middle, Alum, and Branksome
Chines may be seen. The Pier approaches 1,000
feet in length, and is a landing and starting place
for steamers as well as a bathing place and
promenade.
