Christchurch Priory. Christchurch Priory is five
miles from Bournemouth. It was originally built
by Bishop Flambard in the time of William Rufus,
and some of the eleventh century structure is
still extant. It is a beautiful edifice worthy
to be called a cathedral. The interior has a
number of fine chapels, richly carved ceiling and
misereres, and a handsome monument to the poet
Shelley.
