The Chimney Tops are three isolated pillars which
stand on an extremity at the outer end of that marvellous
work of nature known as the Giant's Causeway. The
tallest of them is about 45 feet in height, and history says
that one of the stray ships of the Spanish Armada, driven
into the adjacent Port-na-Spania Bay by stormy weather,
mistook these rocky sentinels for the towers of Dunluce
Castle, and opened fire upon them accordingly.
