LAVA ROOM
La Posta Restaurant
Mesilla, New Mexico
This room was used as the stables in the days
when La Posta was a stage coach station on "The
Butterfield Trail”. This view shows the heavy
adobe construction of the walls. Vega Poles for
Archway and Balcony supports. Black Lava forms
one wall and shows the true Spanish-Indian type
of building. This historic place is the world
famous La Posta Mexican Restaurant. Where you
can eat the finest, and feel historic events unfold
around you.
