Additional Details:
This view shows but a fraction of the Natural History exhibit, established in 1881 and that comprised the decorations of the Buckhorn Bar, more famous as a museum than a bar, due to the tremendous display of mounted heads and horns and rattle snake rattle designs that adorned the walls and ceiling. Scene pictured on this card shows the heads and horns adorning the solid walnut and marble back-bar in original appearance, as one of the attractive features of the Buckhorn Curio Store Exhibit. Largest steer head in the world is shown in centre of picture, and just to the right on the 5 point Texas Lone Star base is shown the renowned Texas deer head of 78 points. In addition to the display of native and foreign heads and horns, the typical curios and souvenirs of the South-West, Mexico and distant lands, prove an educational and interesting attraction
