The "Terrainescope" observatory at Indiana
Beach attracts thousands of visitors yearly to
see the unique optical instrument-the only
one East of the Pacific Coast and one of three
in the Western Hemisphere.
An attractive gift shop and spacious lobby
occupies the lower floor of the building which
is located on Paradise Island, in Shafer Lake
at Indiana Beach. The Hoosier State's largest
and most complete summer resort.
