painted by Sir Edwin Landseer, R.A., born 1802, died 1873. This dog, dissatisfied with his home, ran away to find something better, but very much to his disappointment and surprise he was not successful. Then he came to the conclusion that "There's no place like Home," and so went back again, but only to find the place deserted. Landseer has not only painted a fine picture, but he also points a moral. The original painting is in the Albert and Victoria Museum
