The Gorilla is an authropoid ape and has a
closer resemblance to man than any of the
known animal species. This brutal looking
animal attains about the average height of
man, is covered thickly with hair, with an ex-
traordinary breadth of chest, which imparts
the colossal strength, that it uses in its
native bounds against men.
