JOE JAWSON
Milwaukee never produced a tougher lad
for ring service than Joe Jawson, a young
Polish boy of the south side of the city.
Joe is just 22 years of age and stands 5 feet
5 inches, scaling 133 pounds. He has been
battling the best of the lightweights for the
past two years and recently gave Tommy
O'Brien and Johnny Mendelsohn, besides
Ever Hammer the fights of their lives. He
is a glutton for work, but lacks the knock-
out punch himself, but which he is fast de-
veloping Under the tutelage of George
Ryan, the old-time welterweight, Joe has
been advancing rapidly and he is now in the
first division ranks.
