Elands. Of these antelopes both sexes are horned
and they are heavily built animals. They live part of
the year in forest, or bush-covered country, or amongst
rugged hills, but in the middle of the dry season they
leave their retreats and wander on to the plains in
search of young grass. They are almost peculiar to
South African countries.
