Largest power plant in Northern Michigan, this
atomic installation will provide 50,000 kilowatts
on completion in 1962, with an ultimate capacity
of 75,000 kilowatts, part of Consumers system of
electric_plants serving 61 counties in Michigan's
Lower Peninsula. Located about three miles N.E.
of Charlevoix, and about 12 miles west of
Petoskey, on the shore of Lake Michigan.
