LORDSBURG HIGH SCHOOL
Lordsburg, New Mexico
Lordsburg is old in history but new in years. The Butter-
field Trail passed over what is now streets of Lordsburg,
winding its way three miles south to the Pony Express
and Stage Coach stop known as Grants-later Shakespear.
With the coming of the Railroad in 1880 a new town came
into existence-Lordsburg, its beginning was the end of
Shakespear-now a Ghost Town.
