FISGARD LIGHTHOUSE
Fort Rodd Hill National Historic Park
Victoria, B.C.
The Fisgard Lighthouse has warned ships since 1860 and was
named after a Royal Navy Frigate which operated in the area
in 1847. The 47 ft. high lighthouse is built of brick brought
around the Horn from England and the 35 ft. spiral stairway
was made at San Francisco. The beam is visible for 10 miles
in clear weather.
