Aerial view of Dawson Creek, B.C. The official zero point of the
great Alaska Highway which extends over 1,550 miles north to
Fairbanks, Alaska. The highway was constructed during the
second world war from 1942 to 1944 and was meant to serve
for military purposes in case of Northern Emergencies.
To travel this highway is a worthy experience and should be
well enjoyed by the naturalist and tourists.
