ington. High above the buildings and towers may be

"ISH-TAK-A-BAH", meaning "the man with the droop-
ing eye lids" or "Sleepy Eyes", was the name of an Indian
chief, whose tribes many years ago camped on the shores
of beautiful Sleepy Eye Lake. Never an unkind act toward
the whites was recorded against Sleepy Eye, and many times
he saved the lives of white people and rendered assistance
to them in their sickness and trouble.
