Opening of Parliament. When H.M. the King
opens Parliament in state, one of the regiments
of Household Cavalry supplies a sovereign escort
with the regimental colours. The state coach is
usually drawn by cream coloured horses, and the
Yeomen of the Guard march at the side of the
coach. The route is lined by Foot Guards.
