was born at Calicoon Depot. N.Y
June 10. 1865 and was educated
in Calicoon and Brooklyn, N.Y.re
ceived his degree of MD. from the
University of New York in 1890
was married June 10th 1902 to
Mary F Hunt - Surgeon of the
Peary Expedition 1891-2 and of
Belgium Antarctic Expedition in
1897-9-Started on his present
Expedition from Sydney CB. in the
fall of 1907 on schooner John R.Bradley
Left Greenland March 3,1908 and
reached the pole April 21,1908 where
he placed the flag of the United States
and buried the records of his trip
