THE AMERICAN MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY
NEW YORK, U. S. A.
THEODORE ROOSEVELT MEMORIAL HALL
The Theodore Roosevelt Memorial, of which this is
the interior of the Memorial Hall itself, was erected
by the people of the state of New York. This hall
has a vaulted ceiling 100 feet high. In the alcoves
behind the monolithic Corinthian columns there are
murals depicting Theodore Roosevelt as the naturalist
and the statesman. The bronze statues of Nandi
spearmen were sculptured by Carl Akeley.
