Memorial Square, one of the show places of
Nashville, is situated within two blocks of the
shopping and commercial district. On Memorial Square
is the beautiful War Memorial Building, which houses
many interesting relics of the World War. Located
in the building is a spacious auditorium, which
serves as a civic convention hall. The Andrew
Jackson Hotel, which is Nashville's largest and one
of the South's finest, occupies a commanding position
facing the War Memorial Building, making it most
inviting and convenient to the many visitors attracted
from all points to the historic shrines in and near
Nashville. This spacious hostelry was named for
our Warrior President, General Andrew Jackson,
whose home is just outside the city.
