The Cranbrook Institute of Science, an institution
for the promotion of instruction and research in the
natural sciences, is a part of the Cranbrook educational
community which is located in Bloomfield Hills, Michi-
gan, a beautiful residential suburb 20 miles northwest
of Detroit and 4 miles south of Pontiac.
Other Cranbrook institutions are: Cranbrook School
for boys; Kingswood School Cranbrook for girls;
Brookside School Cranbrook for young children; Cran-
brook Academy of Art; and Christ Church Cranbrook,
a Protestant Episcopal Church serving the entire com-
munity.
