This classic attempt at distinctive styling
was made by the Mannheim-Benz Company
of Mannheim, Germany. The famous name
of Benz survived the fierce early competition
of automative manufacture and was later
joined with "Daimler," another important
name in motoring. Out of this combination
one of the finest automobiles in the
world in 1926—the Mercedes.
