THE POMEROY BEND BRIDGE
Was acquired on November 1, 1936 by the
State Bridge Commission of Ohio, appointed by
the Honorable MARTIN L. DAVEY, Governor
of Ohio, for the purpose of making it a free
bridge. It is an important link of the Blue and
Gray Trail, U.S. Route 33, beginning at St.
Joseph, Michigan, crossing the beautiful Ohio
River at Pomeroy, Ohio, and extending to Rich-
mond, Virginia. Use this bridge and help make
it free.
