Black Bear and Cubs

ES-410-DJ BLACK BEAR AND CUBS Black bears may be either black, brown or cinnamon colored and they are the most common species found in Yellowstone, of which there are about 400. Also they are found in high elevations throughout the Intermountain West. The adult bear averages 250 lbs. They readily climb trees and are very quick and agile. Color photo by Eric J.
