The coat of arms consists of the emblem, and the crest. The
Emblem of the Academy is the Pallas Athene helmet over a
Greek sword borne on a shield of red, white, and blue. The crest
is an eagle with wings spread and a scroll bearing the motto,
"DUTY, HONOR, COUNTRY" and the words "WEST POINT,
MDCCCII."
