OLDEST MASONIC BUILDING IN U. S.
(FRANKLIN ST. BET. EIGHTEENTH
AND NINETEENTH) RICHMOND, VA.
This building, erected in 1785, and owned and
occupied by Richmond Randolph Lodge No. 19. A.
F. & A. M. is the first edifice ever built in the U.
S. exclusively for Masonic purposes. The records
of this Lodge show that John Marshall, Gen'l La-
together with many other statesmen, sold-
iers and citizens, of international renown have
attended to its "stated communications."
