This majestic new railroad terminal occu-
pies the entire block bounded by Jackson
Boulevard, Adams Street, Canal and Clinton
Streets. It furnishes accommodations to four
railroads, the Pennsylvania; Chicago, Burling-
ton and Quincy; Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul
& Pacific, and the Chicago and Alton Com-
panies. The passenger station in itself is a
massive rectangular edifice of white marble
and with all improvements the total cost is
about $65,000,000.
