LIBERATOR FROM TEXAS
The U.S. Army Air Forces' B-24 bomber from
the new. $22,000,000 plant of the Consolidated
Aircraft Corporation at Fort Worth. Named
the “Liberator" by the R. A. F., it is a four-
engine, high wing, all-metal monoplane incor-
porating the new high-speed Davis airfoil.
With armor plating, self-sealing fuel tanks, a
top speed of over 335 m. p. h., a range of 3,000
miles, a bomb capacity of about four tons,
and bristling with guns, it is the world's most
efficient long range heavy bombing plane.
