HALL OF FASHION
NEW YORK WORLD'S FAIR 1939
The $375,000 Hall of Fashion covers an acre and a half
of ground adjacent to the Long Island Railroad Station and
to two of the Fair's entrance gates. The modernistic structure
contains displays of clothing fabrics, home-furnishing ma-
terials, patterns and textile machinery. The end wall of the
"fin", which is the structure's most striking architectural fea-
ture, is used as a screen on which five-minute movies are
be flashed.
