Hunkpapa Sioux Chief RAIN-IN-THE-FACE, long
time foe of General Custer, was photographed at
Ft. Keogh, Montana Territory in 1880 by post photo-
grapher L. A. Huffman after Rain-in-the-Face and
others from Sitting Bull's band had returned from
Canada and surrendered to General Miles.
The hand colored photograph made from the
original old glass-plate negative is on display at
Coffrin's Old West Photo Gallery in Miles City,
Montana.
