Back:
Points of the St. Bernard.-Massive head and large skull,
moderately short nose, square muzzle, well defined stop. Eyes
small and deep-set. Ears close to cheek, nose black, neck
slightly arched, dewlap developed. Shoulders sloping, chest
and loin wide, back level, slightly arched over loins. Forelegs
straight and long, hind legs muscular, feet round and compact,
tail set on high, long, and low in repose. Coat:
There are long and short-coated varieties; dense
and flat in the former. Colour: Red, orang
brindle or white, with markings.
