Columbus, Texas ... the site of the Confederate Memo-
rial Museum located on the Courthouse Square. Built of
400,000 handmade bricks in 1882, by the city of Colum-
bus for water storage, it was purchased by the
Shropshire-Upton Chapter of the United Daughters of
the Confederacy and converted into a museum.
