Glen Cove, 315 Glen Cove Dr., is the private home of the Tucker Hollamon family. A log cabin, built in 1832 by French Smith, it was later bought by George Hollamon, and en- larged; enclosing the cabin. In 1857, under one of these large live oak trees, Sam Houston gave a campaign speech when running for Governor of Texas. Photo by J. B.
