DEVIL'S HEAD LOOKOUT
79
From this point fires are discov-
ered and reported to the rangers,
who start immediately to put them
out. This lookout has been used
now for several years, and all fires
in this region have been extin-
guished before they covered many
acres.
There is a penalty for starting
forest fires. Camp fires must be
put out with water, and care used
with burning tobacco, cigars, and
cigarettes.
