feet, gaining an elevation of 90 feet.
The line to Muir Woods diverges at this
point. Muir Woods is a United States
Government reservation. Majestic red-
woods, estimated to be five thousand
years old, tower to immense height and
range from eight to twelve feet in diam-
eter. A visit is both awe-inspiring and
instructive.
