POST ČARD
GENERAL MEADE'S HEADQUARTERS. Gen. Meade with his staff
arrived apon the field of Gettysburg from Taneytown at midnight on the
first day of the battle, and established his headquarters here on the west
side of the Taneytown road, in the rear of Cemetery Hill. From this point
he directed the battles of the second and third days. The homely little
cottage still preserved, shows still the marks of shot and shell.
