POST ČARD
THE DEVIL'S DEN is five hundred yards west from Little Round
Top and one hundred feet lower. This was fine rifle range for Confederate
sharpshooters, who occupied the natural fortress formed by its boulders and
wrought havoc among the Federals on Little Round Top. They were finally
dislodged by Berden's Sharpshooters. After the battle the bodies of 68
Confederates were taken from the crevices of the boulders.
