FROM LITTLE ROUND TOP. Looking toward the wheat field and the
Peach Orchard, the scene embraces the most sanguinary parts of the field
of battle. The cleared space before the thick woods, is the wheatfield.
It was swept across seven times by the contending forces. Beyond is the
Peach Orchard. The Valley of Death lies to the immediate front. General
Warren's Statue is shown on the summit.
