The breakwater offers a sheltered haven and
the municipal ships in the newly dredged har-
bor are at the disposal of yachts, both large and
small. The light house and U.S. Coast Guard
Station stand guard for protection throughout
the year. Five carferries of the Ann Arbor fleet
sail daily to cross lake ports, carrying passengers,
automobiles and freight.
