The Garrison Avenue Bridge, built in 1919-
1921, across the Arkansas River, connects
Arkansas and Oklahoma. Fort Smith, established
in 1817, today is Arkansas' second largest city
and the gateway to the scenic Ozarks and
Ouachitas.
