CAPE BLANCO LIGHTHOUSE
Oregon Coast
Just a short drive from Port Orford on the Oregon Coast
Highway, near the mouth of the Sixes River, Cape Blanco is
the most westerly point in Oregon. The lighthouse built in
1870 is under the supervision of the Coast Guard, and visiting
hours are maintained every afternoon from 1 to 3 p.m. The
320,000 candle-power light can be seen as far as 22 miles
out to sea.
