ST. JOSEPH'S HOSPITAL
PARKERSBURG, W. VA.
St. Joseph's Hospital is operated by the
Sisters of St. Joseph whose Motherhouse is in
Wheeling, West Virginia. The Sisters came to
Parkersburg in 1900 when the hospital was on
Avery Street. In 1931 St. Joseph's Hospital moved
to the present location and on March 11, 1962
dedication was held for the C. Z. Ruth Memorial
Annex which accommodates practically all the
major services plus in-patient and out-patient
facilities. The total bed capacity is 306 beds ex-
clusive of 60 bassinets for newborn infants. It is
one of the largest private hospitals in West
Virginia.
