TAIN, GLADWIN PARK is the new name
recently given Water Works Park, which occu-
pies a plot of 72 acres of ground on Jefferson
Avenue owned by the city and partially occu-
pied by its water works pumping station.
The water supply is pumped through a long
tunnel from Lake St. Clair to the distributing
point. The Park has been made one of De-
troit's beauty spots and is noted for its beauti-
ful walks and floral displays,
