SEWERAGE DISPOSAL WORKS. Known as the
Bacteriological System and situated just East of the City on the
Park Avenue East Road. This Plant consists of the Building,
10 Acres of land, the underground Vaults and the Filtering
Beds. This Plant takes care of 1,400,000 Gallons of Sewerage
daily, and cleanses same up to 96 & 3/10 % pure fluid. All
the Garbage and dead animals of the City are taken to this
Plant and burned. This Sanitary Plant is the Second of its
kind in the United States.
