The Spanish Peaks are twin mountains at the
end of a spur of the Culebra Range of the Rockies,
northwest of Trinidad. They are covered with
snow throughout the year. They alternately
appear and disappear until the summit of Raton
Pass has been reached. They are best seen
between Tyrone and Hoehnes.
