Waterside Theatre is located on Roanoke
Island, where old Fort Raleigh has been re-
stored. It is the spot where the first English
settlers landed in 1587, and is also the birth-
place of Virginia Dare, the first white child
of English parents, to be born in the New
World. The fate of these first colonists has
remained a mystery to this day.
