11726-JENNIE WADE. HOUSE AND MONU-
MENT.-Miss Jennie Wade was killed the morning
of July 3d, while attending to household duties in a
little brick house on Baltimore Street, near the Na-
tional Cemetery. She was the only citizen of Gettys-
burg who was killed during the battle. The house is
now used as a free war, museum and shows hundreds
of marks of bullets and shell. The monument marks
her last resting place in the Citizen's Cemetery.
