Owen (or Comstock) Whip Factory, Windsor, N. Y.
Occupied after Jan. 1, 1907, by the Windsor Glove & Mitten Co., an industry brought to
Windsor from Gloversville, N. Y., by C. H. Gillen and employing about 30 people at start.
The company is maturing plans to considerably enlarge the business. Windsor capitalists
interested are: T. V. Furman, J. H. Brownell and F. L. Goodenough.
NOTE. The apple tree in the foreground of the picture has grown since the building was
vacated by the whip manufacturers, thirteen years ago.
